I’ve watched parts of The Last Airbender online to see if the movie really is as bad as the critics are saying, and it isn’t. These people are just hellbent on being “too cool” for this movie. I hate people like that.
It’s a kids movie. It isn’t Titanic 2. The 30 minutes that I watched were incredibly enjoyable, and I’m really pumped up to go see it tonight.
This just proves that critics are pointless and that the only opinion of movies that I really care about comes from Tumblr.
It’s like everything else to be honest. The media is being replaced by social networking.
While jogging, I was listening to the Chamber of Secrets soundtrack (one of my favorites). I realized that Harry is going to end soon, and that in about a year, I’m going to watch “THE END” appear on the big screen and the journey will finally be over.
Then I tripped and fell in a puddle. Fucking shitty road.
Reflecting Miyazaki’s feminism, the protagonists of his films are often strong, independent girls or young women; with the exceptions of The Castle of Cagliostro and Castle in the Sky, his films often depict villains to be morally ambiguous characters with redeeming qualities.
See, men can be feminists too!
One of the reasons he’s my favorite directors. Plus, his stories are breathtaking.
I was just telling someone how Harry Potter was there for me during those awkward teenage years when I didn’t have that many friends. Now, it’s still there for me, eight years later. Harry’s possibly one of the best friends I’ve ever had. If that’s pathetic, then I am what I am.
I am now making my prediction that the movie will split right after the trio escape from Gringotts. They will then close with them saying, “We have to go to Hogwarts. We’ve known this all along. We have to go back.” They will have all nod simultaneously, put on some shades, and CREDITS.
So I'll have you know that my family and I totally watched the first Harry Potter today! lol. After we watched it, Kelly and Claire were like, Yeah, it's not Disney. lol. But we're all super pumped about the park. They saw some special on tv about the park while I was away, so during the movie, they were like, Look, that's the store where he buys the wand, or Ah, the train! haha.
They said what now? Omg I'm so disappointed in them!!!!
Haha!! I thought you might be proud that they actually watched it! But I guess the movie wasn't sentimental enough for them. You know how they can be.
Not sentimental enough?!? My brain is exploding because of your words!!! A young boy, orphaned because of one murderous man's actions is forced to live his life in lonliness and solitude until he gets accepted to a home, a school, where he actually finds love and acceptance. Then, if that isn't good enough, he battles the very man, the fear, that destroyed his very parents. He overcomes not only the man who made him who he is, but he overcame what that man did to him!!!!!!
I know I’m going to see oil, but I feel like instead of protesting/boycotting BP, the real way to help these devastated communities is by still visiting them. Just like with Houma and New Orleans. People should still come visit us. Especially Houma. The fishing and shrimping is great here now! We went last night and we caught a few fish.
The scenery was absolutely gorgeous.
Except my dad’s coworker’s girlfriend was a “Hooter’s Girl”. That was just embarrassing. She acted/looked like Tila Tequila (according to my mom). Girls, respect yourselves. You are all beautiful, and you don’t have to act like a whore to get attention.
This week is going to be great!
I’m still so excited for August 8th. We’re going to Disney World and HARRY POTTER LAND!
